Conspiracy of Ravens beckons with tales of mystery and intrigue, with each sip unfolding layers of elegance and complexity. Aged in concrete eggs, this wine captures the essence of sophistication, weaving a narrative as rich and intricate as its flavours.

The name draws inspiration from the collective noun for ravens, with the label artfully playing on the twisted nature of the term “conspiracy.” Three ravens are bound together by a golden thread — one around the eyes, one around the ears, and one around the beak — symbolizing the timeless legend of see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. Hidden on each side, two more ravens tug at the same golden thread, deepening the mystery and their silent conspiracy.

WINEMAKER'S NOTES

Orpheus & The Raven Conspiracy of Ravens forms part of our Le Béton series, where the wine was matured in a Cellier concrete egg, adding a level of complexity, integration and minerality not otherwise achievable.

OENOLOGY

Created from Ceres plateau fruit. The grapes were fermented in open top fermenters, after which the wine underwent malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

MATURATION

The wine was aged for 7 months in 3rd fill French oak barrels, after which the wine was sent to a a 1600 litre concrete egg to mature for an additional 8 months.

FOOD SUGGESTIONS

Roast duck with asparagus and duck fat potatoes conspires beautifully with our Conspiracy of Ravens Pinot Noir. Serve slightly chilled.
